Writing Centre for Graduate Students

The Graduate Centre for Academic Communication (GCAC) offers free, non-credit courses and single-session workshops throughout the year. While the workshops are open to all members of the U of T community, only registered U of T graduate students are eligible to enroll in the non-credit courses.

In addition to providing non-credit courses and workshops, GCAC provides one-on-one consultations for graduate students who seek individualized assistance with their writing. Appointments are 40 minutes long and are held at 704 Spadina Avenue, Second Floor. All appointments are booked online.

Please note: The following departments/faculties offer writing support to their own students through one-on-one consultations: Architecture, OISE, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy, Kinesiology and Physical Education, Social Work. Students in those faculties are not eligible to use the GCAC writing centre; instead, they should consult the Writing Centres in their own departments.
