Writing Plus Workshops: Essay Writing from Start to Finish

9:30 to 10:30 am: Understanding the Assignment – Making sense of essay topics – getting on the right track from the start
10:45 to 11:45 am: Finding Scholarly Sources – Strategies for finding and identifying the most useful research sources
12 to 1 pm: Developing your Thesis – How to write clear, focused, forceful thesis statements (and how not to!)
All workshops this year will be offered through Zoom. To attend a workshop, self-enrol in Writing Plus on Quercus at uoft.me/writingplus. Prior to the starting time, navigate to the workshop on the schedule.
The St. George Campus College Writing Centres, in collaboration with University of Toronto Libraries, Career Exploration & Education, and Academic Success, are offering this campus-wide series of academic skills workshops to the University’s entire student body. All workshops are free and there is no need to pre-register. Come for one, or come for all!
